The CSS-1000 system significantly reduces costs and processing time involved with inspecting first article parts. Ideal for Medical Device OEMs, it is particularly effective on parts with complex and/or internal surfaces. Unlike other systems that capture the surface details of a part, this system simultaneously digitizes both the surface and the internal geometry of a small medical part.

Overall, the CSS-1000 offers superior digitizing capability and performance over laser digitizers, touch-probes, X-ray and in-house CAD reproductions for parts with complex internal features. Customers can get a fast return on their investment using the CSS-1000. The system runs without operator intervention during the digitizing process.

  • The system is designed to scan small medical parts that can fit within an envelope of 12 x 10.5 x 8 inches (over 1000 cubic inches) or 30 x 26 x 20 cm (over 15600 cubic centimeters)
  • The advanced system design increases productivity by allowing multiple parts of the same material to be processed simultaneously.
  • Plastics can be processed on the system. If your part is machine-able and opaque, the CSS-1000 system can capture its geometry.
  • Layer thickness ranges from 0.0005 to .010 inches.

All materials are affected by changes in temperature.

For best results, run the CGI processing systems at the recommended industry metrology environment of 20 deg. C, +/- 1 deg. C.
